As part of her residency for the Prix VU 2024, Solenn O’Meara presented her photographic exploration Emergence, Light, Vegetation and the research surrounding it during an informal 4-à-6 in the VU Photo production studios on June 18, 2025.

Conceived during her residency, this project focuses on urban sprouts emerging from cracks in the asphalt, alongside the subtle traces left by human presence. Through photography and digital scanning, light, whether natural or artificial, is captured to reveal these persistent forms of life.

The work unveils the silent and poetic resilience of the living—both vegetal and human—within the city we inhabit, and which, in turn, inhabits us.
